Erich stepped onto the Holo-Pad in his
office; after making sure the line was secure and the VI was off he
made the call.

Accepted—
Erich
watched quietly as an orange grid scanned him while at the same time
a holographic image of a man appeared in front of him, He had on a
German Naval Field Marshall uniform, his face was blocked out by a
bright light behind him.
“Zufreur,
I wasn’t expecting to hear from you so soon—what is it?”
“Field
Marshall Kesserling, you told me to contact you if anything important
or relevant came out during my travels, anything pertaining to the
Krieg’s or the war.”
The
Field Marshall paused for a moment before nodding “Yes, what is
it?”
“I
have two survivors of Operation Olympic Mons on board this station
with me. One is an Armitage unit, the other is a child A.I. that’s
evolved—it survived the Origin facility.”
The
Field Marshall rubbed his hand against his mouth thinking for a few
minutes “This, This is bad for both you and I, and even Germany. If
the UBC Catches word that we didn’t exterminate each and every last
self-aware artificial—It’s bad enough they blame us for those
strings of Terrorists cells that took out a few of their board
members children, but for them to find out we missed some of our
targets.” The Field Marshall paused then looked off towards his
right “Erich, You know what you must do.”
Erich
frowned shaking his head “W—with all due respect sir, I’m not
going to kill them—I’m no longer a Kri-“
The
Field Marshall cut him off yelling “ZUFREUR, DID YOU FORGET THE
VOW YOU TOOK?! IT IS YOUR DUTY to stop this, and stop them—YOU TOOK
AN OATH TO PROTECT GERMANY AT ALL COSTS, YOU MAY BE RETIRED ON PAPER
BUT YOU AND I BOTH KNOW YOUR ASS STILL BELONGS TO ME!”
Erich
looked down in a defeated way, he was right. “Yes sir.”
“Erich.”
The Field Marshall began. “I want you to observe for now, You can’t
hope to take on two fully evolved class V’s, for now do what you’ve
been doing but keep tabs on them—and I want a file, on both of them
by tomorrow night.”
